If it doesn't work, fix it before you sell it and don't keep asking for money after a little tweak. It is neither acceptable nor economical to have to pay for minor maintenance releases/repairs to "new" software. However, the old bugs remain and NCH are still charging for maintenance releases.

Whether or not VideoPad "Professional" is actually professional video editing software, is questionable. Unfortunately, the support staff on that forum don't like constructive criticism of NCH software, and they can be very unfriendly. It's a support website calling itself a "chat" community, and where forum staff take no responsibility or ownership for complaints. There is a website called NCH Community Discussion forum. If you have a working version that isn't failing, you probably shouldn't pay for what NCH calls upgrades after six months. The only reason we purchased NCH VideoPad again was because we needed video editing software urgently, and we know how VideoPad works. It also seems strange that NCH developers keep updating VideoPad with minor maintenance releases. "Taxes" on our UK based purchase of VP "Professional", immediately doubled the price. Beware: NCH (Australia) offers VideoPad to UK customers at a "discount". NCH will tell you that updates are "free" for six months after purchase, after which time any updates have to be paid for.
